The Obs Pasta Kitchen provides a warm bowl of pasta on a weekly basis to people experiencing homelessness and unemployment. Kimon left behind her beloved life partner, Diego, and their young daughter. As each year goes by, they continue to navigate the tremendous impact of losing Kiki so suddenly. Every time Kiki visited her Guruji, Global Peace Ambassador Sri Sri Ravi Shankar around the world, she returned with renewed strength, inspiration and courage. The Ashram was a place that gave Kiki so much joy, peace and comfort. While she never had the chance to take their daughter to one of the ashrams, we trust that when Diego and their daughter reach the ashram together, it will bring Kiki’s spirit so much joy. This is a way for us to come together as a community and support them on this journey.

Kiki’s beloved sister, Miquel, founded the South African non profit Howlelujah Foundation, for which Kiki served as a board member. This heart-driven organization helps vaccinate, sterilize and place homeless doggies in loving families. Considering the inspiration behind Ferdinando’s Pizza was “Ferdinando the Fox”, also a rescue, who knows what can happen every time a dog is rescued? Since Kiki’s passing in September 2022, Shark Spotters was invited by the Bitou Muncipality to start operations on five beaches in Plettenberg Bay before the festive season in 2022. Kiki’s family and community supported the actions and awareness campaigns. In 2025, they donated a vehicle to drive Plettenberg Bay’s Shark Spotters mission forward. Together, we can continue to help create safer beaches, stronger communities, and a deeper connection to our marine world by supporting Shark Spotters and National Sea Rescue Institute. These collaborative partners need yearly funding to keep locals and visitors safe.
